The Shady Tree Farms nursery is located in Caruthers, California, where the fertile soil and mild climate of the San Joaquin Valley provides optimum conditions for growing strong and healthy trees. From the onset of planting our staff nurtures each tree with effective irrigation and pest management practices, and our field professionals focus on pruning to provide full crowns with strong branching structures.

True To Nature stock trees are allowed to form as nature intends, which is not often found in nurseries. Our Hold Pattern trees, one of the largest inventories available, are sought after for projects that require large or mature trees of matching size.

The Shady Tree Farms wholesale nursery is comprised of more than 80 acres of landscape sized shade, ornamental and evergreen trees ranging from 2" to 8" caliper. We also have a large number of specimen trees (over 11" caliper and 22' high) available for digging and installation.

Most of our 15,000-plus trees and select specimen trees are suitable for growth in the western United States (from Kansas to the Pacific), depending on variety, and all meet or exceed the standards found in the current edition of American Standard for Nursery Stock.
